EVERLASTING TRAUMAS

Guess what might happen to Brazilian folks named Bráulio, Ana Júlia, Chana, Highlander Cruel, MohamedD'ali or Bruce Lee. Intermediate students wrote short paragraphs on historical stereotypes behind their names. Enjoy it!
My name’s Thereza, I am 20 years old and I did not use to like my name when I was younger because it was an ancient way to name grandmothers. Nowadays it is ok. I believe it sounds personal and authentic.

My name is Camilla Bof. I’ve never had any troubles with it, but I’ve got a point: My male cousins have always had their legs pulled on account of being called Márcio Bof, Luciano Bof and so on. They’ve really been driven mad!
There aren’t any stereotypes linked to my name. I’m called João Marcelo and I just love this name. In English it’s the same as John and in Italian they say Gianni. Besides, in Russian it is Ivan and in Spanish they say Juan. João in French is Jean and in German it is pronounced Johann. All of them are very beautiful!
